Monique Feron has followed her dream and passion in life – Dance; gifted by her mentor and inspirational dance tutor, Harold Robinson.
Dance has taken Monique to many countries around the world and where doors have opened for her. To Egypt, dancing on the most luxurious boat on the Nile. To Iran, dancing under a starlit sky in a caravan in the desert.
Having studied under the true masters of dance in London, America, Argentina and Egypt, Monique is able to share the authentic spirit and history of the dance with her students.
“Zahara” the name of which was given to her by the Egyptian Ambassador during her time of entertaining regularly in Wellington for Embassy functions.
Monique formed “The Elektra Dance Company”; known for the versatility of dance styles – Cabaret, Flamenco, Belly Dance, Latin American Dance, Bollywood and Polynesian Dance.
